Bob’s troubled journey to the water’s surface now seems so much more real, with beautiful pre-rendered graphics and Bob’s grimacing face! Will he ever make it through all the mines and pesky red bubbles to reach the top?

At least now there are checkpoints that he can reach, marked by the new flashing beacon indicator on the left side of the screen… and then, even if one of his three bubble lives is burst, he doesn’t have to start from the very bottom again, just from the last crossed checkpoint. This new version also features power-up expiration timers and extra bonuses:

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Russian uVme enthusiast Valentine Savchenko takes V-ing down the aisle! While he and his apparent bride-to-be are serious uVme fans, in fact Valentine was not taking his vows lightly… he has an editorial job for a wedding magazine in Japan and says he was “so excited about the news from the company in Tuesday’s web conference that I was sharing the opportunity with the photographer and the models, and after we did all the shooting I started explaining about the ‘Where Can u V’ competition we have in the company. So we did this V with another girl model in the wedding set in Tokyo - she was also very excited about the opportunity!”

uVme has a new game…

Friday, May 16th, 2008

You’ve only got three minutes to pot as many balls as you can… just one of the new twists in uVme’s Speed Pool game!

“The best online pool game I’ve ever played.” — Tom Brodie

It’s like nothing I have ever seen before!” — Mark Davies

What makes Speed Pool stand out is that it has true-to-life motion in it… you can screw the ball around other balls, for example. You can do trick shots and extra controls have been added to upgrade from the original uVme 9-ball Pool game.

There are also now volume settings, and you can set what part of the white ball you hit to effect your shot.

The tension is pumping, adrenalin flowing… this is not a sedate Sunday tap-around on the pool table!

Get in there and try it out now!

Portuguese Associates at EXPO Franchise

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Independent Associate Paulo Figueiredo and a team of other local Independent uVme Associates presented uVme at the “EXPO Franchise” in Lisbon, Portugal, 9-11 May.

As you can see, his stand was very impressive, giving a good-looking presentation and attracting lots of potential players and Associates to check out the opportunity.

Paulo said, “What a success… I was right, exposure is what you need! Team-wise, the Associates that were present saw with their own eyes the effectiveness of ONE to ONE contact and the way to do it. These folks will now duplicate what they have seen and learned.

“Personally: What an experience! The way everything was set up, with professionalism and we were no doubt the sensation in town, with uniqueness and - although set up by our own hands - we were up to standards. I am proud of the team that was there and of what we achieved. We managed it beyond expectations!

“A word to the team MENTORS: We have the know-how… I want to share the experience and will travel to participate in any CO-OP like this, so if there is any fair, business event etc that you want to participate in, LET’S DO IT!

“In all aspects, the CO-OP will be live from now on; Portugal has found the team of leaders!” —P.F.

WebMoney and paysafecard on uVme.com

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Two new payment methods will be added to the uVme games platform this week. The first, WebMoney, was originally used mainly in Russia, but is now spreading around the world as an acceptable Internet payment system with more than four and a half million users. The second, paysafecard, is already available on the uVme business-building site and is a popular European electronic payment method - available in the UK at all pay points displaying this logo:

Both methods allow people who do not have a credit card - or simply wish to avoid using it for online transactions - to make Internet purchases and upload funds to uVme! To find out more about these payment methods, have a look at their websites:

uVme Reveals New Games in Development

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

In Tuesday night’s web conference, Tom Brodie unveiled TWO brand-new uVme games currently in development, along with two new versions of current games coming soon, plus an update on the soon-to-be-released, brand-new “Blob Factory”.

There are new versions coming soon of pool (see related story) and “Bubble Trouble”, which as you can see in the screenshot above, has lovely pre-rendered graphics. It also has hypnotic, trancelike music that really suits the underwater scene, new animations, and “checkpoints” which you receive bonus points upon reaching.

The two newly announced games are “Mini-golf” (”Crazy Golf” in the UK) and “Battleships“. While these are only at the rough gameplay stage and need graphics before we can get screenshots, Tom has tried them out and thinks that based on the gameplay alone, they are going to be excellent, fun games to play.

After all, who doesn’t like mini-golf, trying to putt your ball around all the different wacky obstacles? And “Battleships” (also known as “Salvo” or “Broadsides”) has been around in one form or another since before WWI, so should be immensely popular too.

Tom provided an update on the other brand-new uVme game, “Blob Factory”, as well, saying it is in its last stages of testing and should be available for everyone to try on uVme.com within the next few weeks. We can’t wait!

New uVme Pool Game: SPEED POOL

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

This is the splash screen of uVme’s new pool game, “Speed Pool”. Tom Brodie gave it a rave review in Tuesday’s web conference, saying, “This is the best pool game I’ve EVER played on the Internet,” and, “Those of you who like playing pool will absolutely LOVE this game!” It’s the realistic ball movement and cool controls that make it stand out, he said. In fact, Tom predicts that Speed Pool will be in the top three uVme games, along with Fruit Frenzy and Blob Factory. It may be released as soon as next week!
